Why, when you go to place a PDF, the option button is all the way to the left and you have to click that to show options? Why aren’t the options there like they’ve always been and you select what you want to use?
If it doesn’t pick up all the settings than “updating” is pretty useless. Of no value to a commerical or digital print shop like mine. A bit of a hassle having to re-enter all the information for 40 or so different print settings. I suppose at least getting the names in is half the update since it’s clear what has to be entered for each setting.
I prefer snippets to master pages because I always make a mess of overriding this, overriding that or masters based on other masters. Then I delete one and the chain becomes an unworkable mess. I usually have a master for page one, TOC and back page if it's a newsletter with a mailing panel.
