Thank you for your reply, David. It’s a baffling one for sure…and rather frustrating. I was so happy to have my new version of Indesign after all these years with CS3.
I have converted the file to PDF and the lines disappear and do not print. Which is wonderful, but they continue to appear in other formats such as jpeg.
Nothing is on the master pages. I’ve started with a fresh file a few times.
I’ve posted a link showing how the document and baseline grids overlap. The first line aligns with the baseline but the following ones do not. (The button “Align first line to baseline grid” was turned off however.)
I guess my next step is to contact Adobe?

Hi … can anyone help please? I’m really worried about sending my files to the printer in case I’ve missed any transparent spots and the lines show through. It’s a high-end book with photos. Every document I open is the same with the lines showing up in drop shadows or gradients. I can send an image if there’s a link somewhere.
