MemberHere is my solution (actually, not only mine – I found similar script and modified them to make it work the way you need).
This script ask you to choose PDF Export preset first (you can set necessary settings in File > Adobe PDF Presets > Define… dialog box, then save preset, and choose it when you run this script). Once you choosed Export Preset – click OK, and script will save pdf files with your alternative layouts to the same folder where your InDesign file is saved, with name of FileName_LayoutName.pdf
so, try and let me know if it works for you.

MemberHi Dekki,
try to use Find/Change > GREP > and there choose what style you want to search and apply character style that has no color and/or 1% scaling

MemberThanks Kelly,
I have found another solution:
1) download this free vector pack https://outlinez.net/freebies/free-vector-website-borders/ unzip, open in Illustrator
2) choose desired border style and drug&drop to InDesign
3) make a copy of border and align one on top of the image, and other at the bottom
4) set paper color to borders, and transparency mode to multiply
5) group borders with the image and inside transparency settings turn on “knockout group”October 30, 2014 at 6:01 am in reply to: How to set a password on InDesign files for OPENING the INDDs? #71307Oleh Melnyk
Member@Masoud, probably because password protected pdf can be protected from editing and printing only, but its opening anyway in acrobat or reader for viewing…
InDesign is software for layout design, not info encryption.. I know for sure that there is encryption software for windows platform, that allows to password-protect whole folder – which is better, as you can secure fonts and images as well.. I’m not sure, but I think there should be similar soft for Mac…
Also you can create password protected .rar or .zip arcive – of course this will not save you from hackers (advanced users), but why the hack you want to password protect your InDesign files? are you working with FBI or other secret organization?))

Memberyou can make password protected pdf file, and insert it to your document – InDesign will ask the password before placing this pdf document… and InDesign will ask to type password from this pdf doc before opening .indd file

MemberHi,
I’m not a great scripter, but here is my solution https://www.dropbox.com/s/f6ctvw1kl5povi9/Detect%20digit%20range.jsx?dl=0
Script code is pretty dirty and requires a strong refactoring, but seems it works just as it should – check and let me know how it goes…
If somebody have any suggestions of how to improve this script – feel free to contact me!

MemberHi there!
I was searching for a keyboard shortcut for apply next style for a long period of time too, and, actually I found it!
All you need is to create an object style, under Basic Attributes go to Paragraph Styles, select the first paragraph style and don’t forget to put the check mark on Apply Next Style… that’s it – now you can switch to General and set your Shortcut…
Cheers!
