    with ID CS5.5 i use the articles panel since it makes my exporting easier than having the whole publication structured by XML. the resulting epub is not perfect so i have to make some tweaks on the epub using Sigil (an XML editor). the book i'm doing has lots of graphics (both inline and as chapter opener).

    why don't you try downsampling the images on your publication? since the pages are only viewed on nook and kindle, you don't need to have high resolution images.

    i don't understand why you have to do the layout in ID and then export as jpeg and open on PS, when you can actually design everything on PS and saved as either JPEG or TIFF.

    the question was HOW TO ADD DRM on his EPUB. that's precisely my main concern also in creating epubs. instead of having them on ibookstore, we want to sell our ebooks using our own website… is there any software that would add DRM to protect our publications?

    crych has explained to you fully well the reason why you have to relink the files, because the path containing the information on your file were disconnected. all you need do is to relink one of the images and the rest will update automatically.

    i usually open the exported epub file on Sigil to do some last minute editing. thanks for the advice, i'll do some tweaks on that.
