MemberClaudio,
Certainly this might be the case, how do i undo this or further more change settings so it doesn’t do it in the first place?

MemberApparently there is a bug with newer file versions where it cannot handle a certain multiple of columns. The solution was to back save it to 97-2015 and it worked.
The incident that sparked the research was finding in the cellrange an @ in the formatting.
This link helped me if anyone else runs into this issue: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1372846 Specifically reply #18 by grum and #20 by jbetts26.
It did not however “solve the issue” but rerouted.
Best regards

MemberUpdate: Changing the region in the OS(PC) setting for the desired number formatting seemed to have solved this issue.

MemberHi Dwayne,
I will try this, although the preview is a nice feature. It beats having to reset preferences however. Wish there was a more permanent fix or part of a known bug list.

MemberHi David and Andre!
David: The files are always in a pc environment.
Andre: This is interesting, when we copy and paste from the excel sheet it works fine. I tried resetting the system to all English but still the linked files would not display correctly.
The odd part is that on the same system it display correctly in the excel sheet but will not display correctly in indesign.
David: Can i post images within the forums or do i have to upload somewhere else and share a link?
Best regards,
Niklas

MemberHi David, thank you for the reply!
Correct, the reset(ctrl+alt+shift) at start up does solve the issue.
The problem is that it keeps on happening, I was wondering if there was a more permanent fix or if this is a known bug that has not been addressed in current/previous versions of Indesign CC 2017.
