Hey All!
I found the solution! It was the Avenir font! Once I changed Avenir to Avenir LT, it exported perfectly! Yay!
Hey Janis! Thanks for the option but it still doesn’t seem to work. InDesign still continues to freeze up and I’ll always need to force quit the program.
Do you have any other options? I need to get this done pretty soon! :( Help!
Hey Patricia,
When you open your ePub on Sigil, on the Book Browser on the left side, there is a “Fonts” folder on there.
Open that folder, and you’ll see the fonts that are used on the ePub. Select the fonts and right click “Font Obfuscation” and set it to “None.”
Let me know how it goes! :D
Wait I just did it! Putting the Font Obfuscation” to None worked perfectly. Thank you so much!
Hi Pooja
I’m having trouble with an ePub file for a client. Nook seems to be rejecting it. It’s saying “Encrypted .epubs cannot be imported into NOOK Press.” I used custom fonts and created the ePub with InDesign.
I’ve been looking around to see if anything works, so I was just wondering if what you said,
“As per the last line, Nook has problem with encrypted font and not embedded font. Open your EPUB in Sigil(open source epub editor) and set font obfuscation to None. Save and then try submitting your epub again. I think it should work.”
Does this work? Am I supposed to put all the fonts under Font Obfuscation – None?
I hope it works.
