ParticipantHi,
If you want to catch all text except: “Thomas”, “David”, “Skemicle” and … “Obi-wan”!
Do it simply:
Create a ‘not_Catch” condition and apply it to the words you don’t want to be catched:
Find: (Thomas|David|Skemicle|Obi-wan)
Replace by format: ‘not_Catch’ conditionNow, you just have to do this:
Find: (?s).+ + Non conditional
… and make what you want!
Simple to script! … I let you do it! ;-)

ParticipantHi Skemicle, nice! ;-)
… The problem with this “text” approach is that if the “active page” number has a bigger size, the list won’t be really aligned page after page.
Another point: if you want to add effects on the “active page” number, we can’t do it!(^/)

ParticipantHi,
I’ve written a script that extracts all the tables of a doc, creates a new doc with the pages number equals to the tables number, inserts each table one per page, resizes the page to table dimensions, saves the new doc … and finally (option) exports all the tables to individual .eps files (in a new folder + incremented numbering), all at the same level as the original doc!
I’ve another script that just moves tables (less high that the page height) to inline text frames.
Of course, not for free!

July 25, 2015 at 5:12 am in reply to: Simple GREP help needed – Style first Word in Paragraph #76878Michel Allio for FRIdNGE
ParticipantHi, the problem with this question is: What is the first word?
What about: New York, The White House, Water-polo, …
So, I prefer to use a grep style keeping the possibility to manually insert a non-joiner to include this kind of complex word.
^.+~j|[\w-]+

ParticipantHi, if several lines or sometimes any punctuation, a research based on the para style with this regex:
Find: [^.?!~e]\z
Replace by: $0.
Could be cool! ;-)Michel Allio for FRIdNGE
ParticipantHi Eugene! ;-)
Grep style: (\+|–)0\.[5-9]\d*|[1-9]\d*\.\d*
But … [I totally like when there’s a “But …”] [maybe I’m wrong!], if Ana has these data in tables, a better idea is to define a para style with a “Bold” option and insert a grep style to exclude the interval ]-0,5 ; +0,5[:
^(\+|-)?0\.[0-4]\d*|0$
associated to a char style with “Regular” option. The “0” is included! ;-)
