ParticipantThanks. I really would like to get rid of it completely — it takes up valuable screen space. This is for normal workspace, not just previewing. I need all the other UI.
With Application Frame (Window>Application Frame) off, I can detach it from the top, but I can’t get it to go away.
For now, I’ve shoved it to the far right at the bottom of my menu, so at least it’s not in my way.
I just wondered what it was called or if there was a way to banish it.

ParticipantI’ve set up decals before. I just design as usual, realizing that anything white will be transparent – unless you’ve specified a white imprint. If you have something that must print white, you may want to contact the printer.

ParticipantTry this:
– Open Indesign.
– Close the document that opens. Or open a document and then click the red dot to close it.
– If the Indesign home box opens (“let’s design something great” at top), click the red dot to close it.
– You should have access to anything that’s changeable in the top menu bar.Technically, I believe, you can do the same thing without closing the Indesign home box. I just close it to clear the clutter on my screen.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantI use both functions a lot in publications. I don’t see that behavior either.
I use the standard Indesign GREP tool to replace multiple spaces. I have another query saved that replaces colons with colon/end nested style.November 21, 2019 at 1:20 pm in reply to: How to package without a missing third party plug-in #14323551Mev Wilson
ParticipantThis is truly irritating. I uploaded ExtremeCharts after reading about it here. Never could get it to work. But now it’s everywhere. Multiple contacts to the company have resulted in 0 responses. I would like to permanently remove instead of having to save as IDML for every document. Last time I try a plugin, that’s for sure.
