I guess I didn;t post my question properly. What I was asking .Is there any to when you are creating markers for your page numbers to see what the number will look like from the font style you are selecting. If i select Times fonts. I only see how the number will look once I click out of the master page on to the regular page. I tried opening the master page then doing split window and that didn't work. I then tried again with the master page and then click on the page and make split window and that didn't work either.

As I said I only see what the number will look like from my fonts selection, when i click on the document page and I wanted to see if I could tap through my fonts library to see how the different fonts numbers would look like.

I thank you folks so much for the help. I couldn't believe you all actually send me a video showing me how to do it. To be real, if i didn't see that video I might have never got it. Thanks a ton!!!!

I guess I might be talking about CS4 Indesign having the double page spread icon in the document setup area. Anyways thank a ton. As Arnold said, “I'll be back”.

Here's the video, someday I'll have to do something about getting a mic. It starts out as David suggests, using an even number to create three facing two-page spreads. Then it shows how to use the shuffle and numbering features to change the start page number. But as David also points out, as I did in my original post, having page 1 on the left is very rare.

I also tried to include how to create non-facing spreads, but the screen capture software was somehow interferring with the pages panel and prevented me from dragging the page icons. Once I ended the capture session, it would work normally. I double-checked and confirmed this because I was so mystified. Perhaps a recent Jing update–and especially the related MS updates–wasn't a good idea.

Let me first thank you for trying to help me!! I have uncheck allow selected to shuffle with all the pages selected. Just as you indicated as a moment ago. I click on an empty area of the pages panel to deselect all pages. Then I select page 2 and go to the Number & Sections option and then select automatic page numbering to start page numbering at 1 and click OK. I guess I'm expecting the pages to reshufflte moving page 1 & 2 together as double page spread, The only thing that happens is I get a black triangle over top of page two. Nothing moves and Page one is still separate and over top of page two. Personally I think Indesign CS6 drop the ball on this. Why did they make this so complicated to make a double page spread. When in the earlier versions of CS5.5 and earlier, all you have to do was select double page spread?

I'm sorry I'm having such a hard problem with this. I uncheck allow selected spread to shuffle after I selected all the pages. Now this may be a dump question but how am I going to select page two when all the pages are highlighted from me selecting all the pages. When I click on page two and then go to the Page Panel to Number & Sections options. Change the selection from automatic page numbering to start page numberingh at 1 and click OK and nothing happens. I can't believe Indesign CS 6 made it this to make a double page spread. Well its not workin
