Am creating an index for a very long InDesign book (consisting of 100+) InDesign documents. After indexing the first few documents, I realized that I needed to take some of the documents out of the book. Of course this changed page numbers. Does this mean I need to re-index all the documents again? Or will this take care of itself when I eventually generate the index for the entire book? I don’t want to continue if I need to start over, and I don’t want to start over if it is not needed.
John
Amazing to say, the solution proposed above by Kip works. I copied the entire word document, pasted it as a whole into a new word document, gave it a new name. The new doc placed without any problem, whereas I could not place the original document at all. They’re apparently identical, but cutting and pasting the text did something!
