MemberHi Ian,
Go to the book panel flyout menu and choose “Book Page Numbering Options” and choose either “Continue on next odd page” or “Continue on next even page”. Then you can check the box “Insert Blank Page” and this should give you want you want.
Hope this helps!

MemberHi Perry,
It’s been a few years since I’ve dealt with xml and InDesign, but I believe you just need to change the Cell style and Table style callouts to “aid5” instead of just “aid.” For example:
aid5:tablestyle=”table-1″ AND aid5:cellstyle=”tb-left”
I hope this helps.

MemberOK. It seems that I can’t open in word and save as .txt. If I open in TextWrangler and save from there, then place that file, I get the correct character.
Thanks!

MemberI’m using ID CS6. I’ve tried different import options but it is always coming in as a hard return.
Thanks for the unicode for this. I didn’t see it listed in the list you have below or in the pdf I looked in either.
Thanks!

MemberYep, you're right. There was some overset text that contained some of these frames. All fixed now.
Again, thank-you so much for writing this. You saved me hours of work! Now on to the next crisis!

MemberThanks for coming up with this script! You're a lifesaver!!!
After running the script, it gives me an error on line 15
Error Number: 30614
Error String: Invalid object for this request>
<Source: var h = object.geometricBounds[2]-object.geometricBounds[0];
but it still changes all of the depths.
Thanks again,
Janine

MemberThe problem ended up being a 3rd party script (Palettenmenus ins Hauptmenu.jsx) in the wrong folder. Went to Gerald Singlemann's website, reread the instructions, and got it in the right folder. Now the InCopy assignments are working fine again.
Thanks,
Janine
April 5, 2012 at 12:55 pm in reply to: What would be causing wrong <?aid type in idml, icma, and icml files? #61955JoAn Armstrong
MemberOK, I finally got it figured out after doing another uninstall and a clean reinstall. It worked fine after the reinstall so I loaded up my backed-up prefs, 3rd party plug-ins and scripts. After that, the idml and icma files were bad again. So I started deleting 3rd party plug-ins, still no joy. Then it was on to the startup scripts. I deleted all of the 3rd party scripts and it started working again. After adding back in the scripts one at a time, it ended up being the script Palettenmenus ins Hauptmenu.jsx.
I went to Gerald Singlemann's website and looked at his instructions again. I had the script in the wrong folder so I moved it to the correct folder and everything works fine again.
I wanted to report back on what the fix was in case anyone else should ever run into something like this.
Thanks,
Janine

MemberI have found that if you select the export xml option <Original Images> in the images tab, that it will truncate the image name in the images folder AND in the xml file.
Do you think this is a bug?
