Answered my own question!! Apparently, it’s related to “Track Changes.” So…what to do now to safely get rid of all that? Accept all changes?

Thanks, Connie. I actually tried that previously, and it worked. Unfortunately, given the vast number of text frames in this 287 page document, that doesn’t seem like a lot of fun.

After a couple of tests, I’m feeling pretty confident that “Accept all changes…In this Document” will be the way to go. David?

Thanks, gentlemen. I assumed it would be a challenge at best, at worst impossible. Fortunately, the percentage of recipes where this is a problem is in the low single digits and this is my own product, so I can live with it as is if I have to, but I’ll keep playing around with it per your suggestions. Thanks again.

Beautiful! This is why I have been a fan since early in the “InDesign Secrets” days. Thanks, David. (And yes, it does fill the screen…)

Thanks, David. It’s not that I am jumping. I am just scrolling, looking through the document. Testing, I do see that if I jump, then the object deselects. That’s not the case, for me anyway, when simply scrolling. It is also true that if I have some text selected on page 85 and I scroll to page 96, Layout>Go Back doesn’t take me to 85. Interestingly, in my test, it took me to 90 one time, 92 another. I’m quick scrolling in the tests. Maybe it sees a momentary pause on another page as the place to “Go Back” to? Regardless, I’m guessing the fundamental answer is that when scrolling a document, there’s no such command? Thanks for the link. Will read that for other pointers.
