MemberI am using the book feature, so the pagination is done for me. I have the documents in order as they appear in my book, and when I go to print the book, everything prints correctly. The problem is that I want the cover to print along with the rest of the book.
I’m not manually folding it, the printer is folding and stapling it as a part of the booklet printing feature. The thing that I need is for the left edge of the cover (which is in the center of the paper) to print to the edge. The printer should be able to do this since it’s not an edge of the paper.

MemberThanks. Can I have this printed along with my booklet though? I have 8 or so ID documents for each (short) chapter of the booklet. They are all added to the book in ID. I want to print the entire book(let) along with the cover and then take it to have it cut.

MemberI understand about the border, but the left edge isn’t really an edge of the paper. Since the book is just letter-sized paper folded in half, the left edge of the book isn’t the edge of the paper, so the printer would be capable of printing to the edge, but ID doesn’t allow it. Unless there is a setting I’m missing.

MemberI’m on a Macbook. Word does have Minion as well as InD, but when I place the file, it says it’s a missing file. So I have to select the text and change the paragraph style to a style that uses MinionPro as well. I don’t understand.

MemberThanks for the reply. I primarily use MinionPro for everything except headings. I’m publishing a newspaper. I would be willing to switch to a different font if that would be helpful. I also don’t really NEED to use Word. I like using something like Word in order to archive the articles for later use. If there was another way to make the importing process more seamless though, I would be willing to switch. For example, if creating the documents in Google Docs or another application would be better, I can do that.
I am not sure I would want to create and archive all the documents in InD, however since it’s not as mainstream. Any assistance would be appreciated, because I feel like I’m doing a lot of unnecessary work right now. Thanks again.

MemberKind of a late reply to this, but I’m still having the issue. I am not sure I’m understanding. I see where to adjust “Increment Every” but will that potentially throw off the alignment on the other pages?
I’ve pasted a link to a screenshot below of the issue. I set the vertical alignment to “Justify,” and this is what I get. Sometimes it’s better and sometimes worse, but it rarely is equal spacing above and below the object. Thanks!

MemberOk, I’ll look into that. One error I keep getting when I move the anchored object down to a certain point is “This value would cause one or more objects to leave the pasteboard.” The object isn’t near the edge of the page. I can’t figure out the cause.

MemberThanks guys! I’ve never used anchored objects, but I’m experimenting now. The link below shows a screenshot using an anchor. The one on the left uses the anchor, and the one on the right is using two separate text boxes.
Can I make the anchored object look like the one on the right? With the alignment?

MemberIt doesn’t change. The far left and top of my paper start at 0. That part is good. Above that though, where the X and & display, the numbers are much higher. For example, I use the “Y” to set the top of my page. I typically start each box at .6″ on the Y field. That isn’t working now. .6 takes it way above the top of the page.
