    Been through all of this…reinstalled, reset prefs, resets prefs, saved prefs (including print presets, color palette presets, etc.)

    All good ideas but none of them worked more than a day or so.

    The ONLY thing that worked for me: I went to Font Book, selected all active fonts and Verified them all. Anything that showed up RED – – deleted. Anything that showed up YELLOW – – deleted.

    No problems since. You have nothing to lose trying this.

    Thank you, Rodrigo M. I lost my Print Presets, so an online suggestion was to trash my InDesign cache; after that I kept getting a database error and couldn’t open any files at all.

    After following your advice for recreating my preferences, everything seems to be fine.
