    Hello InDesigners,

    I finally upgraded to CS5, and I immediately ran into the problem you've described. Sorry I'm coming in a bit late on all this, but it looks like the post was never resolved. Here's a solution for not being able to edit text in a locked text frame:

    • Go to general preferences/Object Editing.

    • Uncheck “Prevent Selection of Locked Objects.
