Have you installed Apple’s supplemental High Sierra update? It is needed for CC so it might help wiht older versions.

Looks to me like you need to change the font of only the Thai text.
Try this Grep to do this and then apply the Thai font. Not sure it will work but works on some sample text I made.
This finds the Thai block in Unicode

The column guides are sort of linked to Layer 1 (default layer in the document when it is created). Hence when you turns hide guides and turn off Layer 1 or delete Layer 1 the column guides can hide as per other guides.

You could create a document without columns in the Primary Text Frame, then there will be no column guides,
The just add a text box to you page master and also guides to say layer Text, Then you can turn the guides no or off with the layers.

The columns in the Primary Text Frame appear to be a bit like the default font in the InDesign file, deeply embedded into the structure of the file.

If you delete the original Layer 1 then the column guides will hide a per the guides you add.

You also have to turn Layer 1 visibility off and then Hide Guides you need to do both or the guides will only dim not go away completely.
View > Guides and Grids > Hide Guides
Then the Column Guides will not be visible.

The guides are associated with Layer 1.
But not only that layer they are a bit special.

You can see with by turning visibility off of Layer 1 then hide guides and the column guides will hide,
But the column guides will appear when you show guides or when Layer 1 is visible.
You can rename Layer 1 to be your text layer and and then you can sort of control the visibility of the column guides.

The best solution is to set make sure all text is the same 100K and all black text to overprint and do the same in the EPS file.
That is in Illustrator set all the black text to be overprint.
This way all the text will be the same and will print the same.

Here are the setting for the two paragraph styles.
Use Bullet 1 for the first level 1.1 2.1 etc
    Then use Bullet 2 for the sub bullets 1.2 1.3 1.4 2.2 2.3 3.2 etc
No need to reset the numbering with this set up.

    hope it helps

Found the right solution, all the same as above but change the second paragraph style
Tick the RESTART NUMBERS AT THIS LEVEL AFTER – ANY PREVIOUS LEVEL.
Then no need to restart the numbering just start with paragraph style Bullet 1st Level for the first number eg 1.1. 2.1. 3.1 etc
Then use paragraph style Bullet 2nd Level for all the other bullets 1.2 1.3 2.2 2.3 etc,

Sorry took me few goes to get that one.

Well that might work but you need to create a paragraph style for every level, so number up to 150 you need 150 Paragraph styles and you need to manage them manually.

    Try this one again

    Two Paragraph Styles
    Bullet 1st Level
    Set this as Level 1
    Mode Continue from Previous Number
    ^#.1.^t
    Bullet 2nd Level
    Set this as Level 2
    Mode Continue from Previous Number
    ^1.^2.^t

Below is the result with notes on where to reset the numbering, each time you reset the numbering to start at 2. All bullet/numbers are link and live so make a change somewhere and they will flow through.

    1.1. Bullet 1st
    1.2. Bullet 2nd
    1.3. Bullet 2nd
    2.1. Bullet 1st
    2.2. Bullet 2nd – Reset numbering start at 2
    2.3. Bullet 2nd
    2.4. Bullet 2nd
    2.5. Bullet 2nd
    2.6. Bullet 2nd
    3.1. Bullet 1st
    3.2. Bullet 2nd – Reset numbering start at 2
    3.3. Bullet 2nd

Ok this is a bit tricky and as I said someone will come up with a better solution

    Two Paragraph Styles

    Bullet 1st Level
    Set this as Level 1
    Mode Continue from Previous Number
    ^#.1.^t

    Bullet 2nd Level
    Set this as Level 2
    Mode Continue from Previous Number
    ^1.^2.^t

Apply Level 1 to first bullet point

Apply Level 2 to second Bullet point,
then Option Click the NUMBER BULLET icon in the Application Bar Change the MODE to START AT and enter 2
    Numbering will follow.
Then each time you want to change the first level bullet numbering choose BULLET 1st LEVEL (paragraph style)
Then for the second bullet apply BULLET 2nd LEVEL and reset the start number to 2

All a but tricky, wich Adobe would improve this feature but this is hte best solution I have found.

Someone will give you a better answer but InDesign seems to work better with a single level number followed by a two level number
    eg
    1,
    1.1
    1.2
    2,
    2.1

Two paragraph style with numbering set to continue from previous
    Level 1 use ^#.^t
    Level 2 use ^1.^#.^t
