    Wish I had asked this question earlier, but good to know in future. I accidentally replaced a name with a space, then had to go find them all. What a screw up. This might have helped.

    Thank you David Blatner, it was a text wrap option. I learned that before but was drawing a blank today. Thanks for the help.

    Excellent, thank you very much.
    When I did a copy /paste of the text it showed up in the search box as caret x. I chose change to blank and it disappeared. Hurray! Just did a generate of TOC and it did not return.
    that was my whole agenda for today, to solve that problem, you made it so effective. Thanks a lot.

    Yes I do have a Primary text frame on the master page. Now I want to add some pages throughout the text to be chapter heading pages, so usually a double page spread.
    If I convert the first such Chapter page to a master and apply it to a page that already has text and images what will happen? I have Auto reflow turned off.

    Have you checked your display settings? You can organize the mouse to move in the direction you want by selecting the appropriate configuration.
