The above fixes do not work for me. So if anybody does figure this out, please post. David, can you help? Eugene’s fix is no longer available in “Get Info” and Embib’s method did not work at all–I hope it works for the rest of you but this is not a solution.

How to work with elements that disappear and threats of memory shutdown? This is not a healthy work environment. Searching the forums brings up what seems to be the fact that Apple is aware of this but has no intention of supporting CS6 and there is no fix other than to buy into cloud-based extortion or revert to the previous OS system.

Even though it’s putting my stress level thorough the roof I’m opting for the latter. I should’ve listened to the El Capitan gripes but I needed it to run a cloud-based piece of software. I just should’ve known better…

Apple and Adobe, i never thought I’d say this but I hope you fall. You may be too big to fail but you certainly failed your clients. Yeah, I know, spouting off like this online is usually a mistake, better to just wait and find a better perspective. But I gotta say, with all this work on my plate this is the last thing I needed to deal with.

This issue is absolutely maddening and causing havoc in my ability to make a living. Item’s disappear and reappear, Indesign crashes, warnings appear stating memory is maxed out and the whole page disappears and even the warning buttons are just blank rectangles. I’m running InDesign CS6 on a 27 inch, Late 2013 Mac, 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 with 16GB of ram and a hard drive that’s not even half full. All permissions have been repaired and there’s only Photoshop CS6 running alongside InDesign. Apple, I had already lost faith but this is a whole new level of crap and ulcers.

Yep, same issue here. Exactly. El Capitan. *sigh* Thanks Apple.
