I second the motion. That would be awesome.
I usually just package all my documents at the end of the project. that way I know that all the connectd links are in the Links folder of the package.
Also, you can always right click a graphic/story an go down to graphics then “Reveal in Finder” or “Reveal in Bridge” to quickly find where the link is located.

We had that same problem with our classified pages not long ago. If you have InCopy documents with links in them placed into your document, that may be where the error is coming from. I ended up placing that InCopy document into a new Incopy document. That seemed to clear up the modified link issues we were having.
