After testing i dont think that you can find format (italic) by GREP script (Find&ChangeByList)
But if you save every step in the find/change window… It can be faster
Or maybe call Grep window by applescript
By find/change window..GREP
1.1- Found italic
1.2- Replace by Found+special char in italic ( something is not in your text ) ( XOX )
2.1- Found all reg
2.2- Replace by nothing
3.1- Found all End of paragraph
3.2- Replace by nothing
4.1- Find special char in italic( XOX )
4.2- Replace by End of paragraph
At the end you have all italic text… line by line
Check indesign Sample Script ( Find&ChangeByList ) you can automate all these step in once
Using Find/change window
Button GREP
Find: .* ( dot follow by asterix )
Find format: italic
The problem appear when i have Text Overset
BEFORE previewing ( The Name of the column is longer than the data itself )
so it Overset and create that glitch
My Advice: shorter column name
Thanks David to force me to test outside of my original environment
Ho!
It something else on my page that create that bug
If i put ONLY the icon font alone in a blank page
It work for every record
I’ll debug and come back with conclusion
Yes it export each character ( icon ) in PDF
I know that the problem is not my custom font
It occur with the basic and the oldest icon font ( Zapf Dingbat )
Im on mac osx 10.9.5
