Depending on the width of the text frame it sits in, keeping the large headline and the smaller tagline in the same paragraph but using a character style with No Break applied might work. Apply the No Break character style to the tagline, and as long as it’s too long to fit in the remaining space at the end of the first line, it will automatically move to the second line.
Did you try checking “Delete elements, frames, and content that do not match imported XML” in the XML Import Options dialog?
Just saw this post and see it’s rather old, but if you turn on the “Include Locked Stories (Find Only)” option in the Find/Change dialog that is located underneath the Search properties, you don’t have to check the stories out.
Red dots can also occur if a URL goes to a site that requires a subscription, such as an academic journal article, even though it opens a legitimate log-in web page.
