David BlatnerKeymasterI know what you're talking about, but I think this method makes more sense. Find/Change should be treated like a panel, basically, and all the panels are toggles: KBSC to show them, and same shortcut to close them again.
Obviously, it's the kind of thing that would be cool to have as an option, but I think Adobe doesn't want to offer a bazillion different preferences.
David BlatnerKeymasterYou probably want to turn off Preserve Image Dimensions When Relinking, in the File Handling pane of the Preferences dialog box.
David BlatnerKeymasterOh, this is one major brain twister!
Check out this IDML file. Move the text frame on page 2 to page 3 and watch the bullet change direction (and color).
I don't know how to move it to the end of the line yet, but I'm most of the way there. It's likely going to be done with more than one anchored object. I'll plan on writing up how I did it in a blog post this weekend or next week.

David BlatnerKeymasterI wish there were a way to change the size of all the inline graphics at once, but there is not. Perhaps a script could do it.
One thing: I always encourage people to apply an object style to inline objects like this (where there is more than one inline/anchored object in the document). It makes it much easier to change later.

David BlatnerKeymasterThat would be cool, but InDesign does not support placing snippets inside a frame. At least, not that I know of. Instead of snippets, you might consider saving those objects out as InDesign files, then placing the InDesign files later into frames (which does work with fit content proportionally). To make InDesign files of just selected objects, you can use the LayoutZone scripts from automatication.com.
David BlatnerKeymasterI suggest selecting whole paragraph (four clicks), then press shift-right arrow, then shift-left arrow twice. That deselects the final return. It's the crazy finger dance! Then start typing.

David BlatnerKeymasterI moved this to The Pub, as it was more about the site than InDesign itself.
This a curious thing. I haven't noticed that change, but I think you are correct. Do you see any kind of Edit link next to the comment?
I'll look into it!

David BlatnerKeymasterThat's pretty dangerous… I would not expect a printer to click the right place. (No offense intended to all you printers out there.) It would be far safer to export each version as a PDF yourself and send them those pdf files.

David BlatnerKeymasterPlease see this post and the crazy number of comments and ideas there:
