David BlatnerKeymasterGreat point, Petteri! I was focusing on what InDesign could do alone. But you're right that 3rd party add-ons, such as eDocker, can do it.
David BlatnerKeymasterA library file is (more or less) an InDesign file, so you cannot really have more than one person adding/removing items from it (editing it). I believe you can put it on a server and have more than one person opening it and taking items out, though, just like you can have more than one person open an INDD file at the same time.
I think snippets are more flexible, but libraries are more organized. Libraries allow keyword tagging, searching, and so on.

David BlatnerKeymasterPerhaps check the Keep options for the footnote paragraph style? Maybe it's set to keep all lines in paragraph together?

David BlatnerKeymasterGlad you found Power Headers from in-tools.com, vickihnh. It's quite amazing.
David BlatnerKeymasterInstead of trying to get XML out, you might want to focus on getting HTML out instead. However, XML is a good way to get HTML out, as written in this post:
David BlatnerKeymasterSorry, I don't think you can do that from within InDesign. That sounds like a Flash thing.

David BlatnerKeymasterRight: This is a significant change in InDesign CS5. You cannot select locked objects…. the solution is to turn off the “Prevent Selection of Locked Objects” checkbox in the General pane of the Preferences dialog box. Then it works the way it did in CS4 and earlier.

David BlatnerKeymasterYes, you're probably noticing the flattener transparency “stitching.” If you zoom in/out on it in Acrobat, do the lines get bigger/smaller? If they're always either one pixel or they disappear, then they're almost assuredly “artifacts” (they're not really there; they just appear on screen).
