David BlatnerKeymasterI believe it is command-option-shift-S (or ctrl-alt-shift-S)

David BlatnerKeymasterIf you have a lot of find/change queries, I believe you can also manage them better with Automatication's multi find change:
David BlatnerKeymasterRoland: LOL!
Yeah, sometimes we get some strange forum posts… unclear whether it's spam or not. You should be able to click a button (one of the icons you see) to report things to us as spam or questionable, so we can delete it. I'm going to leave this here, though, just because it's funny. ;)
David BlatnerKeymasterThat sounds even stranger. I wonder if your copy of InDesign is corrupted? Or something is wrong with your screen? I cannot think of what the problem could be.
David BlatnerKeymasterThere are a lot more JPEG2000 images out there than you'd think…. but they're mostly saved inside PDF files! Adobe knows how great JPEG2000 is (better quality at smaller file size), so it's part of PDF and Acrobat.
I've been pushing Adobe for years to get jpeg2000 export from Photoshop AND import into InDesign. It's a hard battle.
David BlatnerKeymasterPDF/X1-a might work. The main problem is almost certainly JPEG2000 image encoding, which is not supported on the iPad. When you make the PDF, make sure the encoding in the Compression pane is set to JPEG, not Automatic. That should (I think) do it.
David BlatnerKeymasterI'm using font explorer pro. I've been hearing better and better things about Fusion again. I don't think any of them are the clear winner. However, I also never use auto-activation:
David BlatnerKeymasterNo, there is no way to get the progress bar back. But you don't need to do other work. You can just sit there and stare at the screen for a while until the PDF is exported. Turn on the View PDF option and just wait for it to open in Acrobat.

David BlatnerKeymasterYes, you may just be seeing the difference between RGB and CMYK. It will get more dull. But that's not InDesign; it's reality. What happens when you export as PDF/X1-a from Photoshop and open it in Acrobat? Same thing?
David BlatnerKeymasterNot sure about CS4 to CS5… that seems like it should not have changed.
However, there was a big change from CS3 to CS4 with rounded corner tricks: https://creativepro.com/cs4…..rently.php
David BlatnerKeymasterYes, that is possible (as long as the printer can accept it, which they normally would).
But it's also possible to place the Photoshop image into InDesign and then export the whole thing as PDF/X-1a. Or use Acrobat Pro to combine the two PDFs.
David BlatnerKeymasterActually, I just tried this in CS3 and CS4 and it worked fine for me.
I wonder if you're having some other problem. For example, perhaps there are spaces or other characters in the file names that are causing problems?
David BlatnerKeymasterNot sure about “indesign 3” (perhaps you mean CS3?).
I just tried from CS5 with a 96-character image file name and it worked fine.

David BlatnerKeymasterWe are working on the CS5 update now. Sorry for the delay.
Honestly, I don't think there is any significant advantage of buying their extra $5 download service. I don't think esellerate lets us turn that off, though. Sorry! Just uncheck it.
