David BlatnerKeymasterMy guess is that somehow View > Structure > Show Tagged Frames got enabled… and the frames are tagged with XML for some reason. Possible?
David BlatnerKeymasterDoes this happen in all documents — even brand new documents?
Are you sure the language applied to the text (select some text and see the Language popup menu in the Character panel) is set to English? If you want to post images, you can put them on a site like imgbb.com and then post the URL here.
David BlatnerKeymasterYes, this is a long-standing annoyance. You need to create 2 or 3 different paragraph styles. We all hope that Adobe will find a solution for this so we can use one style.
David BlatnerKeymasterWhat kind of output are you creating? Reflowable epub? Fixed layout epub? PDF? Something else?
David BlatnerKeymasterIf you select the image inside the frame (by double-clicking the image with the selection tool, or by clicking the “Select Content” button in the control panel), you can adjust the scaling for the image inside the frame. If you want to do it disproportionally, you’ll have to “unlink” the two fields in the control panel.
David BlatnerKeymasterThis example might show a good method:

David BlatnerKeymasterIt’s very similar to this technique:

David BlatnerKeymasterI’ve actually never heard of DjVu files… Interesting!
Chris: If 20 pages don’t look right, then I don’t think waiting is going to work… I mean, it might finish, but I would assume the results would be just as bad.
Ann, my guess is that you’ll need to distill it to something else… some other PDF preset perhaps… and then get at least 1 page to work. Then try more.
David BlatnerKeymasterThat is very strange. I wonder if there is some other software on your computer that could be causing that? Can you share an image of it there? (To post an image, just put in on imgbb.com or some other sharing site and then put the URL here.)
David BlatnerKeymasterIt’s easy to change the hyphens throughout all the text… but you’re saying you’re getting a different kind of hyphen at the end of a line? Not the normal dash?
When I set text in Palatino Linotype, the hyphen is exactly the same as a normal dash. I wonder why yours is different?

David BlatnerKeymasterThat is wonderful! Thank you for this information, Flo.
David BlatnerKeymasterBarry, just to confirm: Are you talking about DocsFlow or WordsFlow? (DocsFlow is the product from Em Software for Google Docs.)
David BlatnerKeymasterHi Warren, unfortunately at this time, you currently have to do this one issue at a time. Sorry for the hassle. We will look into whether we can make this easier in the future.
David BlatnerKeymasterYes, it’s pretty amazing. I know that Anne-Marie has recommended it to many clients. She recently told me that one of her clients simply couldn’t do a huge annual project without WordsFlow.
There was a review of it back in Issue 65:

David BlatnerKeymasterThank you, Michel!
Sasha, you will probably need this article to help with that:
