To follow up on my above issue. The Cylance Antivirus software was the issue. Prevented copying & pasting between Creative Cloud apps. Removed the software (after providing dental records and a kidney to IT) and everything is working as expected.
I’m running CC 2015 (latest patch) and OS X Sierra and the copy/paste function is completely broken. Copying in illustrator, then switching to another app (photoshop, indesign) will crash the “copied from” app as soon as I paste to the “copy to” app. And the “copy to” app spins for a while, then pops an error message stating there is nothing on the clipboard to paste.
I’m thinking it has something to do with the awesome “universal clipboard”, because that’s totally needed, as I’m seeing the behavior with other non-Adobe apps as well. Office suite for example.
Bob,
I have a coworker that would like to create their web banners and assets in Indesign, rather than Photoshop. The sticking point is that Photoshop has better Anti Aliasing tools for dealing with type overlaid on images than Indesign. Exporting to PDF then rasterizing doesn’t contain the same type control as creating native in Photoshop. Any ideas for a workaround or other solutions? Any help & guidance is appreciated.
