MemberNot entirely sure what you are looking for, but the Control Bar has a Reference Point matrix to identify individual points. (Default reference point is 0,0 on top left corner of page, but you can adjust that if needed by pulling in the corner of the ruler.)

Memberrealname, another option is to set up a Column just for dollar signs. This has helped me with clients whose use of $ is unpredictable.

MemberViewing PDFs on phones is unpredictable—if that’s the destination of the design, export as JPG.
Raster effects and transparencies (especially with spot colors) can wreak havoc on any PDF viewer.
Try exporting with this Standard: PDF/x 1a:2001 – Acrobat 4

MemberToby, to reiterate, it helps to have the same Pantone Spot Color in your file as in your work order to the printer. I work prepress, and if those don’t match, we call the customer to verify.
One reason we might change the spot colors (for example to 100% Cyan spot) in the file is to get the best screen angles (the dot pattern). This usually happens if the design is complicated, with transparencies used, etc.

MemberI suggest you send both a PDF and a Word .doc or .rtf, that way they have the design and live text.

MemberLeah, are you printing the 12,000 postcards? If not, I hope you’ve coordinated with your print shop. In our shop, we never want the customer to do imposition!
(We use HP SmartStream Designer plug-in for InDesign)

MemberI’m not sure why you’re going this route to get the text that you put into an InDesign file out of it through a PDF, but here are some suggestions to try:
Save As the PDF to either:
-Microsoft Word (works best for me)
-Rich Text file
-Text (Plain)Colleen Shannon
MemberSounds strange, do you have Text Wrap applied to objects on your Master Page?
Colleen Shannon
MemberOr the non-video version:
• Make your text frame the same or bigger than your circle.
• Select text frame with Direction Selection tool.
• Edit > Copy
•Select the circle, Edit > Paste IntoColleen Shannon
MemberTake your angled text frame, then with the Direct Selection Tool, pull down the bottom right point so it creates a polygon with a flat bottom. (use Y axis number or a guide to be precise.)
You could also make this shape using Pathfinder or the Polygon tool.
