MemberI’ve already read the interesting blog post, but there’s no solution for action n. 3…

MemberInteresting discussion I didn't see before.
I think that ID and FM have two completly different apprach to XML, so they'll continue to go in different direction and for different kind of users.
I mean that with FM you can build what you could call an “XML application” that can produce a PDF or a FM document as output.
In ID you can use XML to import data into a structured template and it's very useful to buld catalogs, price lists and any kind of repetitive documents, but you need to build a lot of JavaScript code or a custom plug-in if you want to have a complete XML environment.
I use a lot the ID structured templates for my customer that need to build documents with data, you don't need to know everything about XML, like you might do to build a custom app with FM.
In conclusion I've noticed that ID support of XML data is very undestimated in the designer's world.

MemberI'm using the script (version september 2009) with InDesign CS5, it's very useful.
Today I have an error that I've never seen before:

Tomorrow I'll try the December 2010 version, so I'll see if it works.

MemberThis is a very intersting script, I tried on InDesign CS5.5 and CS6, but it returned to me an error, that I attach here:
https://creative.adobe.com/file/6395175b-d8ec-405b-9347-e5f98b45cdf6
This happens either selecting or not selecting any objects
Any suggestion?

MemberIf you use Shift + Page Up/Down you can navigate through pages keeping the zoom on the same point on each page.

MemberIt could depend on the “Transparency Flattener” setting in the print dialog box, you need to select the right setting (High Resolution for example).

MemberYou cannot print separation with InDesign if you don't have a PostScript printer selected.
You can select “PostScript File” instead of a printer, so you can select separation and produce a PS document; then you can open the PS document with Acrobat Pro to convert it in a PDF.
Hope this can help
