ParticipantYes Ari, I know about the info panel, but with a book containing 36 documents in total +500 pages, I would like a method to quickly identify the long paragraphs … I just read somewhere that intool’s style utilities can do this. Is this true? https://in-tools.com/products/plugins/style-utilities/

ParticipantHere is a link to the (working) document Peter:

For the right-side pages I want the verse numbers to move to the right side of the page. So if I could find/change the right-side object styles separate from the left page ones, I can then change these object styles to move to the right side.
Thanks in advance for your help,

ParticipantJust tried it, produces error 23, String: does not have a value, line 5: offending Text: =
for (var i = found.length-1; i >= 0; i–) {Does that mean that the script thinks my document does not have textframes? I am using a 14 page document with a textframe on each page. I am just a cut-and-paste javascript user, so I have no clue what can cause the error.

ParticipantIt seems I am not the only one looking for a solution. (https://creativepro.com/topic/find-and-change-only-on-odd-or-even-pages#post-80502). I wrote Mark Autret and hoping for the best. Thanks Peter.

ParticipantI have the same need and posted it here the other day: https://creativepro.com/topic/findchange-on-left-or-right-page-only
Have you come across a solution already Bill? Or are we looking at one of the few things that Indesign cannot do?Bart Eenkhoorn
ParticipantThis could turn out to be a divisive question, which was not my intention. It seems that Washington DC has the best group, according to themselves:
… “They get some of the toughest questions there. And, thanks to all our members for helping us build the biggest and best InDesign User Group in the world!”But seriously, any advice is welcome.
Bart.

ParticipantThanks for the tip David. In the meantime (seek and you will find) I found the answer to my question in the form of a gem-script written by Martin Fischer and improved by Uwe Laubender. The script is called DOSCRIPT_with_Docs_of_Book_WITH_save_close.jsx and you can find it here:

ParticipantP.S. Is there a way to make code-lines more readable in forum posts? My post is not very user-friendly :-(

ParticipantI re-did the searches with carefull attenion to the taxt/grep tab and was not able to reproduce the error. Only the older searches do keep coming back with the three hyphens. Must have been a mixup. Thanks for pointing it out David.
