Hi David! Sorry about that. I’ve added the script to our Plugins & Scripts resources page, under the heading “Scripts mentioned in our Lynda.com videos.”

    Hey Mark that’s pretty cool!

There is no contact info or “About” or anything on the site. Do you know the developers? How did you learn about the tool?

To be clear, this is what you’d edit in the *paragraph style’s* GREP Style panel. The paragraph style that you’ll be applying to the paragraphs containing all the titles.

It’s not a GREP Find/Change … but the same codes could work there.

I’m not a GREP expert, but I think the pattern for your GREP Style would be

    APPLY:
Bold [character style selected from menu]

    TO TEXT:
Line break, Line break, Any character repeated one or more times, Line break

    which in GREP-ese is .+

I did a test over here and that seems to work. Does it for you?

Strange! Maybe the doc is having problems. If you create a new document, put some text in it (which should appear as Align left by default) and then click the Control Bar button for Justify with Last Line Aligned Left, does it work?

In InDesign, the default autoleading is 120% of the point size. I assume that in Word, a leading of 1.5 means 150% of point size.

So for 12pt type, you’d set the leading to 18 pts. in InDesign (150%).

You can check this for yourself by Placing (importing) a Word file that has 1.5 linespacing applied to text. When you Place it, choose to show Import Options, and have it retain styles and formatting. You’ll see that the text with 12 point text and 1.5 linespacing is converted to 12/18.
