Hi. And thanks. iBooks on all devices. I don’t know what app will be used yet on the Surface Touch Pro 2.
I have made the document 1920×1080 pixels in indesign. And are exporting at 72 dpi. Thats the resolution of the screen on the Surface Touch Pro 2.
What dimensions do you usually make fixed epubs in indesign? I have googled on that but can’t find a recommended size.
Maybe the 1920×1080 dimensions of the document is choking iBooks on the iPad?
The problem is somewhat buggy. If i reexport the epub and transfer it again to the iPad. I get the same problem. But not always on the same pages.
I also hade crashes. But i changed all my background images from 1920x1080px pngs to jpegs. That reduced the file size of the exporter epub drastically and the crashes are gone.
If you mail me at andreas (dot) noren (at) mecka.se i can mail you back a dropbox link with the epub.
Thankfull for any help on this.
/Andreas
I guess you are in the wrong library folder. The tilde ~ in the path is to be replaced with your users home folder name. It’s the library folder in your home folder that you should look in.
We found a solution.
Go to ~/Library/Caches/Adobe InDesign/Version 9.0/sv_SE/ (the last folder will be named different if you do not have a swedish indesign).
Trash the file InDesign SavedData.
That worked for us.
