MemberSnap to guides works on the pasteboard, maybe your solution would be to use more guides? If you do not want to clutter your work space with too many guides from the pasteboard region simply put them on a separate layer then you can hide or trash them at will.

MemberIt seems to work at my end but only within the same folder, it does not affect the entire drive for some reason. My solution is to simply make sure that version 6 is launched every morning so that all files with launch with it when I click them, unless they were save with 2014, then I launch 2014 to use them. I have to do this cause my main client insist on using CS6.
But un-installing the application seems a bit drastic, you could if you want to simply compress the 2014 version app on your drive and that would stop it from launching, this way if you need it it’s just a simple decompress away.

MemberI don’t think this is limited to slashes, here we work in French and we had the same problem with accents in filenames, i.e.: é è à ô etc.
We seem to be regressing back to DOS. :)Andre Vandal
MemberI guessing it would have to be better than good for someone to switch, it would have to be fantastic and even then, I would find it hard to switch personally, my workflow is way too entrenched in the adobe way. I remember switching years ago from Quarks and that took quite a lot to move, and it was because Quark was simply getting too expensive especially here where we used the French version.

MemberSadly removing stuff from indesign does not entirely reduce it, it keeps records of every move you made. Your best bet is to save your document IDML and reload it again, this should clear it up bit more.

MemberThere is probably a few ways to get there, but for printing in BW from a color document select “Print” from the “File” menu then in the dialog box select the “Output” option on the left and in the “Color” pop-up menu select “Composite Gray”.
You could also print a PosScript file using this and end up with a BW document that can be converted to PDF.
There is also the “Export” feature in the file menu where you can save a JPEG and self the “Color Space” Gray in the pop-up menu.Just a few options

MemberInteresting script to clean up indesign documents before archiving them. If this could clean Object Styles also it would be perfect.
