MemberUsing the shift key you can increase the movement by a factor of 10.

MemberThe master retains whatever the settings was at creation (1 or 2 pages) even if you change the document settings afterwards (Facing Pages), a solution is to create a new master page using only one page then replace the pages you wish to change with the new master.
Hope this helps

I’m not sure but I do believe that it is no longer supported

MemberThis occurred to me last month, even changing workspaces did nothing, the only solution I found was to trash my preferences.
Maybe somebody else has found another solution.
Andre Vandal
MemberYou might want to check your InDesign preferences, have a look under “Type” and “Smart text Reflow”
Hope that helps

MemberThis might be related, we came across a similar problem with Microsoft products and Adobe when copying and pasting information. It seems that Microsoft insist on using the language setting of the computer to set its numbers, Adobe does not. In my case our Macintosh was running the French system so all numbers were treated as 1000,00$ but American is $1,000.00, so we finally figured out that we had to change the language of the computer to “English US” in order for things to work. But since we are bilingual and work with both languages we are often changing the settings back and forth.
Hope this helps.

MemberIf all else fails, why not open a new document, make sure all the colors are deleted and import stuff from the old just to see at what item the problem occurs, chances are that item (image or style) is the culprit and you should investigate that.

MemberInsert or Place? You cannot edit Placed (cmd+D) InDesign and PDF but Word and text files should work

MemberThis may have nothing to do with your problem, but we have a similar thing occurring here when saving the document to our external server, for some reason folders sometimes get corrupted and simply will not accept changes, the only solution we have found was to make a new folder and transfer all the files to the new one, then saving returns to normal.

MemberAccording to this ASCII table: 32 is a normal space, 255 is the non-breaking space

MemberDot gain is a way to compensate for the bleed of the ink on paper (or other medium) so a dot will increase in size because the ink will soak in the paper and so you can try and control that with dot gain. But it doe nothing to the color itself, black is always black. The gain would only affect the edges of your mass of black, not the inside. So you should only see a difference in the gray portions of an image, not the black or white.
