Hi Dwayne,
Thanks for all your questions. For the record. I’m not wild about baseline grid. I’m not sure it’s necessary.
1. Rule pops outside of the text frame. Is there a way to keep it inside? That might solve my whole problem.
2. Hard to answer. Ideally, I don’t use baseline grid alignment. That way, all tops of text frames and tops of text, regardless of size, would align. I know this isn’t everyone’s preference. But you either gotta pick baseline or top of text, right? : )
3. Ideally, I’d like the regular text column (top of text) to align with the rule above the head in the other column.
4. I need to nudge the head-with-rule-above down about 4-6 pixels.
I have a small screenshot you can take a look at. I’m at jane (at) allegro-design (dot) com
Bizarre. I highlighted the text and it says English:USA but it’s still hyphenating “autho-rization”. If I select English: UK, it corrects it.
So, perhaps that one word is a fluke.
Thanks for all your help guys. At least I now know to pay close attention.
If you mean in that Paragraph Style > Advanced Character Formats: I have English: USA already set.
Under Preferences > Dictionary: at the top it says English: USA but Hyphenation says: Hunspell. Do I want proximity instead?
Thanks,
Jane
