MemberI always use “save as” for the new version. Sometimes when I export to pdf for our RIP it will try to assign the old file name to the pdf…that is a bit odd.

MemberCheck out the utility ONYX. I know that it is able to clean out font caches.

MemberOh, thank goodness! I love those dot-matrix printers! No one can tell if I'm working with those quiet laser printers…but they know I'm working when they hear that dot-matrix go at it!
I do have one question about holographic imaging…how do you flatten that image for the gang running the printing presses? Are there special flattener presets?

MemberI do a lot of forms and passes for schools and use
ctrl+left arrow for flush space.
I come from an old, old, old, typesetting background and really missed “insert space” until I discovered flush space.
Also command+m for merge in tables, and I think I need to add Eugene's ctrl+tab in tables.

MemberJust rechecked. All spot colors except for black. Black is a standard 100k swatch. Thanks for asking…keep the questions coming and we may figure this bad boy yet!

Isn't that the trigger — CMYK? (You don't mention it, but you must be using Yellow somewhere as well.)
One of the spots is a pantone yellow, one is a pantone blue, one a pantone red.
No registration marks.
I send an exported pdf to the shop. Other color jobs that I have sent out to the shop don't do this. I'm pretty sure that I don't have any transparancy at all in the file. It is a simple letterhead with text and 3 graphics. But I'll check out the file to be sure.
Thanks for your help guys! Any additional ideas are welcome!!!!

MemberBelieve it or not…that makes sense! No way am I overriding individual items when I get one that runs to about 800 pages. Thanks for all your help on this and everything you do for IDUs!
Jennie
MemberVery frustrating. I'm just confused because the first page has the numbers the way I want them and the rest are bass-ackwards.
PS. Welcome back!!!! You've been busy since you got back from Lynda.com.
