Yes, all documents, new and old.

Same outcome trying any kind of cut/copy/paste/alt-drag

Rebuilt preferences several times by holding down shift+ctrl+alt+cmd (even just tried it again now)

Also, I just created a new document and placed an image, but instead of placing the image inside an existing frame, I dragged a box with the loaded place cursor, when I let go – BOOM – it resizes the entire image, just like when i copy/paste etc! So frustration!

    It is, isn’t it!

Both scale! When I paste, I can actually see the correct frame/image size for a split second – then BANG! – it automatically enlarges itself by about 4–5 times so that it becomes huge! It is an absolute killer when I’m working with long docs and want to copy/paste, as you can imagine. I was working on a long table the other week and one column had images in each row, which were all sized perfectly, but if I attempted to copy/paste that table to use further in the document, then the whole column with the images just became a mess because the images scaled all over by themselves. I have tried simple testing with a one page new document but as I said in my initial post, it does not seem to matter what I do!

Thank you, David, this now works! I am not sure why it wouldn't before, but as you say, perhaps i didn't assign the correct paragraph style. Anyway, thanks again :)

That's what i initially thought would work too but unless i'm missing something it doesn't. As far as i can understand it's because there isn't any running header on my cover page and so the master spread cannot pick it up. Would that be correct?

To try and be clearer, let's say for example i have a 20 page brochure. The cover (front and back) have no master applied. The inside 18 pages have a master spread applied, that master spread has a header which is defined with a running head paragraph variable which is defined to pick up my cover title's paragraph style. The probelm is it doesn't. Is it, as i mentioned before, because there is no master applied to my cover with a running header variable, and if so do you know of a workaround?

    Thank you very much.
