MemberYep Uwe, it seems to work perfectly.
I'll now make a couple more scripts (is a .JS extention enough, or should I use JSX?) with the codes you posted so I'll have all basis covered :)
Roland
MemberWorks just fine for me in CS5 (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, I didn't try the other programs) same as it used to in CS4.
Maybe it's a Windows only feature?

MemberIf I enter a Paragraph Return (ENTER) after every data merge field the empty lines get removed no matter how many there are.
If I enter a Forced Line Break (SHIFT-ENTER) after every data merge field the empty lines don't get removed as the line break doesn't seem to get taken into account for the data merge. You could always press Ctrl + Alt + i (Cmd + Opt + i on Mac) to see what's keeping the empty lines visible. If it's not related to the breaks prior to merging you could select the offending invisible characters and use Find/Change to get rid of them in the merged document.

MemberI've had no problems with empty cells in either CS4 or CS5, and I've done a dozen or so data merges. You do have to check the box to “Remove Blank Lines for Empty Fields” (someone at Adobe still loves capitalizing every word… that's sooo 90's) but other than that it ought to work just fine.

MemberCan't libraries be shared too though, Bob? I mean, it wouldn't make sense if you can't back them up and share them…
Yes, it's painfully obvious I've never used libraries (yet?)… I'll hang my head in shame now ;)

Member@Roland:
Where did you get the class name “sfcode”? Is there a documentation somewhere? Or were you looking that up in a browser add-on like Firebug?
I prefer your idea of inserting < code>< /code> in the HTML but I just clicked the icon to quote your post with the code thing in it and checked the HTML view of what would become my reply

MemberThanks Uwe, I'll definitely give this a go when I'm done re-installing everything (hopefully later today).
Jongware, there doesn't seem to be a new button for inserting codes, but it appears you could use the HTML view and create a div around the code… Here's my test :)
<div class="sfcode">CODE HERE</div>Roland

MemberHaha you don't want to know how many times I've used that form after every upgrade :) I'll run back there to add another one: if at all possible, they ought to put the print process, at least after all data has been gathered, into the background tasks too.
