Okay. So there is no way I can flatten/merge raster images into a document. Correct?
David Goodrich, your method worked! I changed the first two pages to i and ii. Now, while I can still print the cover and copyright page, I can also skip those and begin printing on page 1. Thanks!
Thanks for the suggestion, Dwayne. However, as David said and is explained in this article (https://ask-leo.com/why_dont_pdfs_print_at_the_same_size_as_the_original.html), not all printers will print PDFs at the actual size which is a bit frustrating for publishers. That’s why I was wondering if it would be prudent to include instructions on how to potentially print at actual size with a printer. (No guarantee that it will work on every printer)
Thanks for the help.
I’m printing from Acrobat. I’m going to be getting a new printer soon. I’m hoping to find one that will make it easier to print at actual size. Any recommendations?
That’s unfortunate that I can’t make a PDF that will print uniformly across all printers. Any recommendations for this issue? Should I try to come up with print instructions for each document that WILL enable the customer to print at actual size?
I took your course through Lynda.com on using Indesign to publish to EPUB, Kindle and iPad a while ago and was checking through my notes. You mention only two ways of creating hard page breaks: 1. create a book with multiple documents and 2. using TOC styles. Will either of these methods work in my case with 365 different page breaks and only 12 of them (one for each month) being tied to a TOC? Or is there an easier method? It just doesn't seem practical to create 365 different documents in a book.
Great! Thanks.
