Using 2 types of page numbers

      I need to have 2 page numbers on one page. The actual page number of the journal in the header AND the number of pages for each article in the footer (Page 1 of 30). Is there a way to do the footer page number without having to hand code each item?

      You need the last page number text variable:

      Unless you’re using a book panel, in which case you need x-refs:

      Thanks David. I originally used the last page number, but they want it broken down even more. Sorry should have given more information. We are a journal and have very long articles, in the digital form they want to note how long each article is and where the reader is. So let’s say the article starts on page 300 and the last page is 350, they want it to show where in the 50 page article you are (ie page 1 of 50).

      Actually, the Last Page Number text variable by default (I think) is the “last number in the section.” So you could use the Section feature to set up a new section for each article. That should do it. If not, you could use the x-refs trick (in the link above) to create a cross-reference to a paragraph or text anchor on the last page of the article.
