    Every time I’m in a spread, and execute a copy & paste command, the paste object appears in the center of the left page. Is there a way to have the paste object where I wanted, or that’s the default?

    Normally Paste centers on the screen. Are you using Paste in Place instead?

    Ah ha! Yes, that is the default and there is no way to change it. Paste in Place remembers the position on the spread not the page. So if you copy something from a left page, and move to the right page, then use paste in place, the object is pasted back on the left page.
