Hi Everyone, I'm new here and in great need of help.

I've been slaving away on a massive index, and have come to realize that some indexed items are not showing up. This is what is happening.

So I highlight my term and go to Index -> Create a New Index Entry -> then under type I select “Supress Page Range” so that it doesn't give me ranges, just single pages -> select “Add All”

This appeared to be a FANTASTIC solution to what I needed… but I generate the index, and anything found in this fashion does not show up. When I look at the references in the Index panel, the numbers are in parenthesis – (100) – rather than ones that have been selected as “Current Page” and “Add” (as opposed to Add All).

Why does this happen? Is there any way I can have these (reference numbers in parethesis) generate in the index without having to go through and click on each number and change it to “Current Page”????

PLEASE help me. I don't know anybody who can help me… and I need to get this done…

Suppress Page Range means “don't put a page number in the index.” Sounds like you want Current Page. You'll likely need to go through and change each of the index references (double-click them in the index panel to edit them).

I see that now… thankfully not too too far in. But lord… wish I had caught that first.
