Furry,

There have been several posts that have gone missing in the last fews days. In most cases, the OP checked for answers and responded positively before the thread was lost. however, I did respond to one or two that were immediately lost.

Someone did answer your post. I believe it was Gert. (Scratch that… it was Bob)

In case he does not see your repost, the answer is:
1. Close all InDesign documents.
2. Go to View > Structure > Hide Structure

Now when you create a new document, the default will be to keep it hidden.

There are other useful defaults that you can set. For example, if you like to have certain color swatches in all of your document (company colors etc), you can create them with no documents open. All new document will have these swatches automatically added to each new document.
