David,

Help me work backwards. I already have Book A. I did not yet create Book B. Should I copy Book A and remove the common pages and then pace common pages?

A few questions

1. I have A TOC set-up (and MAster Pages) if I place the COmmon Pages how will this affect the document (in other word will I need to make adjustments)?

2. Some of the pages that are common need to be tweaked for each book. That could mean a global change to a word, an update to a hyperlink. This becomes my main issue. 80% of the content on the page is the same but a few things need to be changed. I would like to have the ability to change in my master files and then target change in my two books without overwriting the master pages. I hope this makes sense.

3. Can I place a page and make changes like I indicate above to specific areas?

4. Since this document is 270 pages (and set-up as alternating layout for later use can i automatically have inDesign place all the pages without going one-by-one?
