Reply To: InDesign CS6 crashes when updating stories

Lots of folks have this issue. It started for us when we upgraded to CS6. No solutions and Adobe is useless when trying to find an answer.

Our work around:
1. open the document without updating links
2. unlink all the text boxes that need updating
3. place all the incopy files that needed updating as new text blocks.

I don’t have to create a new document and all your styles are still there. We tried creating new docs but that didn’t help.
The downside is this will have to be done every time you need to update.
