Outlining fonts is somewhat archaic, but if your printer insists on it, you might try using a transparency flattener workflow instead. Otherwise, you may actually lose things you need, like paragraph rules or bullets. You'll have to put a transparent object on the page somewhere to force it to flatten, but you can put it in a margin where it won't be seen.
