D, do you mean that the number is on line 1 and the subhead on line 2? In that case, try increasing the baseline shift of the second line (that way the second line goes up to the 36 pt number). If you created a para style for the 36 pt number, check if the “space after” is set to “0”, and that the second line has “0” space before.
