Hi,

Thank you for your interest in our tools.

1. For CC2017 you need to install via DTP Tools Cloud http://www.dtptools.com/cloud fixed license version works for CS3-CS6.
2. You can create a reference with the text Exercise and then the number taken from a paragraph, chapter or page number of the source. The plug-in itself only references the numbers, does not create lists and sequences.
3. Yes, you can if you set it to the appropriate numbering source.
4. Yes it does.

If needed, I can assist you with creating the sample references in your document.
