Hi Paul,

I went through the same thing. The answer is no. The only way you can publish an EPub on Itunes is with a Mac Computer.
You can’t use a pc, ipad, or iPhone. You must use IBook Producer (download it free from the MAC app store). You can only download it on to a Mac with 10.1 operating system or better.

Also Apple won’t let you advertise your ePub as an Ibook. It only considers an ebook written with IBook Author as an IBook. I bought a used
mac just for uploading ePubs to IBooks.
