Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the new version. It is very stable for most people, so not sure what the problem could be.

That said, I strongly recommend rebuilding your preferences:

Also, if you have older third-party plug-ins installed, check those, as those all need to be updated when you update InDesign, or crashes are very likely.
