There’s two ways that I know of to accomplish this: Apply the Inner Shadow effect to the Graphic, not the Object or Fill. Or, apply the Inner Shadow effect to the Fill and set the blend mode of the Graphic to Multiply. If you use the second method, there has to be a white fill in the frame. If the fill is None, you won’t see the shadow.
